Where you place your internet equipment can affect your experience throughout the house. Start with the setup instructions provided with your gateway, then test in the rooms you use most.

Find the right place

Keep Wi-Fi equipment in an open, elevated location. Avoid enclosing your gateway in a cabinet. For a cellular gateway, follow provider guidance for cellular signal placement and test several locations before settling on the final spot.
